Kimberly Bindl
Financial Literacy Manager
Kimberly Bindl is the Financial Literacy Manager for AmeriChoice Federal Credit
Union located in Mechanicsburg, PA. Kim graduated Summa Cum Laude in Cursu Honorum
from Central Pennsylvania College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
As the Financial Literacy Manager, Kim is responsible for overseeing multiple student-run
branches, developing and implementing youth marketing programs, and teaching financial
literacy initiatives in South Central, PA.
AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union currently has three student-run branches including
two high schools and one college. These branches not only give the students ‘real
world’ experience, but they also teach them how to manage their personal finances.
Aside from overseeing these educational branches, Kim is actively educating students
in four area school districts, as well as Central Pennsylvania College. Districts
include the Cumberland Valley School District, the Mechanicsburg Area School District,
the West Shore School District, and the East Pennsboro School District. Through
the partnership between AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union and the school districts,
Kim teaches lessons to students as well as provides resources and curriculum to
instructors. Lessons include a wide range of topics including how to budget, the
importance and proper use of credit, investing, and saving.
Kim serves on the Board of Directors for the Capital Region Partnership in Career
Development, an initiative of the Capitol Area Intermediate Unit. She is a member
of the Central Pennsylvania College Alumni Association, serves as an Alumni Mentor,
as well as is a member of the Marketing Advisory Council. Kim also participates
as a committee member for the West Shore Chamber’s Education Committee and the Cumberland
County Economic Development’s Workforce Development Steering Committee.
